Fairies and Arc Angels | Soft Chalk Pastel on Wood

Before there was a flower, there was a scribble. Before there was a plan, there was play.

This piece began on an ordinary afternoon — soft chalk pastel, a wooden panel, and two twenty-month-old hands moving freely across it. Bold strokes. Bright colour. No hesitation, no plan. Just pure, unfiltered energy.

Later, once the chaos had settled, something in those marks asked to become more. Flowers bloomed where there had only been scribbles. Tiny points of light scattered across the surface — a field of fairies, dozens of them, hidden in plain sight. And somewhere within it all, seven ArcAngels took form as small stars, quietly watching over everything.

Nothing here was decided in advance. It simply arrived — the way blessings often do.

Look closely, and the original scribbles are still there, exactly as the twins made them. That raw, joyful energy was never meant to be covered. It is the heartbeat beneath the bloom.

Spend a little time with this painting. Somewhere in it, many ArcAngels are watching, and many fairies are mid-dance. Can you count them? How many?
